In 1959 one such tool came into official acceptance. Through the work of Dr. Milton Erickson, the American Medical
Association approved hypnosis as a therapeutic tool.

In this training you will learn some of the Hypnosis tool box for use in your practice and your life.

Many people ask, what is hypnosis. Hypnosis is guiding a client into an altered state. This altered state can be
experienced in many different ways. While in this state, experiences and suggestions are placed for the
unconscious mind to consider. In this state the conscious is de-potentiated allowing the unconscious mind to
fully consider the information brought before it. For many, it ends up being an effective way to create change
in their lives in an easy and painless way. One of the interesting possibilities is that once a client has achieved the
altered state, any number of common therapies prevalent today can be performed with far less resistance during
the process. Something all therapists would appreciate.
